Come join me, Rarindra, and renown Turkish (Cappadocia based) Photographer Nuri Corbacioglu on our second Photography Trip in wonderful Cappadocia (and Kayseri), Turkey! A limited 8 participants (excl. Mentors/Tour leaders) will be brought to capture horses, hills, mountain, sheppards, balloon, and many other amazing subjects.

The Date: Sep, 1st (arrival)-7th (departure/leaving) 2023. With total 5 (five) shooting days.
Package price per pax: USD 3,250 (the number will be adjusted if paxes less than 8)
Group Size: 8 (Eight) participants.

Flight Destination: Kayseri, Turkey (ASR) as meeting point.

Recommended flight: Turkish Air, arrival around 8:00-10:00 am.

Difficulties: Easy to average/medium.

What’s included in the package?

6 nights accommodation all in Share room based in Nino Cave Suites in Cappadocia (one hotel for whole trip ). Extra USD375 for single suplement room option.

Accommodations outside the tour date
International flights to Turkey.
Any Turkey entrance fee requirements (Visa or e-visa) . As per April, Turkey's rule to entrance is loose regarding pandemic. (However it is also based on your nationalities, please do check)
Tipping for Tour guide+driver+assistant.
Alcohol or any beverage not provided by organizer.

What to Bring

1. Warm clothing . July-Aug-Sep are summer time. (But it is quite chill-cold in the morning)
2. Camera gears

Two camera bodies is highly suggested.
Lenses: suggestion: 24-70, 70-200 or light weight lens for focal length until 400mm. (example 70-300, 100-400 etc). A Heavy pro lens isnt recommended.
Godox triggers is optional in case we need artificial light. (flash is provided)
Tripod . We will shoot during blue hours (morning+evening)
Everything to cover up our gears from dust during shooting
Passport (make sure its validation in Sept 2023)

ITINERARY *

Day 1

Arrive to Kayseri Airport and transfer to hotel.

Late in the afternoon, we do landscape shooting or sightseeing in Cappadocia.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at Nino Cave Suites in Cappadocia.

Meals: D

Day 2

At sunrise, we shoot the horses at Cavusin village, with the balloons and rock formations in the background.

Then, we return to the hotel for breakfast and some rest.

Later, we visit a real pottery workshop in Avanos to photograph the master on duty (with the sunlight coming to his workplace and we will also make smoke in the workshop).

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Later in the afternoon, we drive to Hurmetci village. We first shoot the buffalos and then the horses with water reflection.

Then, we drive back to our hotel.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3

At sunrise, we shoot the horses in a valley with the balloons and rock formations in the background.

Then, we return to the hotel for breakfast and some rest.

In the early afternoon, we drive to Hurmetci village and have lunch (breakfast style, mostly organic buffalo products). Then, we will shoot around 300 wild yilki horses running wild in the dust. For this session, we will also use a trailer to shoot the horses from above during the sunset.

Day 4

At sunrise, we shoot the horses at Swords Valley, with the balloons in the background. There will be around 20 horses and an old antique car at first and then we will shoot 1 horse in/around the caves.

Then, we return to the hotel for breakfast and some rest.

In the afternoon, we shoot a Turkish girl in traditional dress with a camel among the rock formations.

At sunset, we will shoot 1 whirling dervish in a valley with rock formations and beautiful scenery.

Day 5

Optional hot air balloon ride at dawn.

For the ones who do not take the balloon ride, we will drive them to a nice valley to shoot the balloons being prepared for take-off just before the sunrise and then chase the balloons from different valleys to shoot them.

Then, we return to the hotel for breakfast and some rest.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Salt Lake (2,5 hours) to shoot some horses on the lake during sunset.

Day 6

In the morning, we drive to the Horse Valley to shoot around 100 local horses.

After breakfast at the hotel, we photograph an Afghan sheppard for a few hours with the sheep around the valleys of Cappadocia.

After lunch, we drive to the skirts of Erciyes Mountain to shoot the sheep and visit some villages for portrait photography of some kids.
