OMO VALLEY (Dec. 6th-15th)
Experience the raw beauty of Ethiopia’s Omo Valley. Join me for an immersive photography journey to document the ancient traditions of the Suri and Mursi tribes. A rare opportunity to capture soul-stirring portraits and unique cultural heritage.
Here is the details of the journey:
DAY 01: ( ARRIVE ADDIS ABABA)
Your Ethiopian expedition begins as you touch down in Addis Ababa. Settle in and rest at the Jano Hotel before the deep wilderness calls.
DAY 02: (FLIGHT TO JIMMA AND DRIVE TILL MIZAN TEFERI)
A quick morning flight drops you in Jimma, the historical heartland of Arabica coffee. From here, a 4-hour scenic drive to Mizan Teferi unfolds through a lush mosaic of forests, tea, and spice plantations—offering your first spontaneous photographic stops along the road. (Overnight: Salaysh Hotel)

DAY 3 & 4: Deep into Suri Territory
Day 3: Leaving the modern world behind, you pass the historic Bebeka estate and venture into the untouched isolation of Kibish. Here, you meet the remote Suri tribe. Your lens will focus on vivid natural body paint, wild floral crowns, and the centuries-old tradition of clay lip plates. (Overnight: Camping with the Suri)
Day 04: A full day immersed in the Suri's daily rhythm. Document a living canvas: mothers painting infants with river clay and ochre, capturing their profound connection to nature using pure, natural light. (Overnight: Camping in Kibish)

Day 5 & 6:TRANSIT & TRADITION
Day 5: Pack your gear for a rugged, full-day drive out of the deep wilderness to Jinka. This is a pure transit day to cover ground and recharge. (Overnight: Nasa Hotel)
Day 6: Chase the golden morning light into Mago National Park to photograph the iconic Mursi tribe. After lunch in Jinka, push south toward Turmi, pausing on the dirt roads to capture Bana boys performing their traditional stilt walking. (Overnight: Buska Lodge)
=====================================
Day 07: Rivers and Sunsets
The morning belongs to the Karo people—undisputed masters of body painting—perched dramatically over the majestic Omo River at Korcho village. As the sun dips, you visit the elegant Hamar tribe, capturing their ochre-styled hair and beaded adornments glowing in the warm African sunset. (Overnight: Buska Lodge)
=====================================
Day 8: The race north
Day 08: Enter Arbore, the "land of the bulls," to photograph striking women draped in dark robes and colorful beads during the morning's golden hours. Then, the race begins: a long, demanding drive north to Arbaminch just in time to catch your late afternoon flight back to the capital. (Overnight: Jano Hotel)
=====================================
Day 9: Echoes of Addis
Explore the political and cultural heart of Ethiopia. Stand face-to-face with the 3.2-million-year-old fossil "Lucy," take in panoramic views from Mount Entoto, and dive into the colorful chaos of Merkato for raw street photography.
