Starting from Bali, this expedition heads deep into Papua’s Baliem Valley to document the Dani tribe, their timeless highland traditions, and sacred ancestral mummies.

Day 1 (Saturday, 17 April) — Arrival in Bali
Arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Private airport transfer to Ubud for check-in. Rest and trip briefing.

Morning: Staged photo session at the traditional flower market.
Late Afternoon: Slow-shutter creative session capturing Balinese children in traditional attire engaged in cultural games (Tripod required).

Morning: Portrait session with Balinese women in traditional costume inside an authentic ancient compound.
Afternoon: Street and documentary photography at a local traditional market.
Late Night: Midnight preparation and airport transfer for the early flight.

Day 4 (Tuesday, 20 April) — Flight to Wamena & Soroba Village
01:00 AM: Departure flight to Jayapura (approx. 5.5 hours), connecting immediately to Wamena.
Arrival, check-in, and rest.

Full Day (Morning & Afternoon): In-depth cultural photography inside and around the lively village of Obia, capturing daily Dani routines and interactions.

Morning: Cultural portrait and lifestyle shoot in Hitigima Village.
Afternoon: Historical and cultural documentation in a neighboring village featuring an ancestral mummy and women with traditional finger-cutting (ikipalin) scars.

Full Day (Morning & Afternoon): Scenic outdoor photo sessions focusing on generational bonds (adults and children) against Baliem Valley landscapes.

Morning domestic flight from Wamena to Jayapura.
Hotel check-in and relaxed evening in Jayapura.

Hotel check-in / onward departures. End of expedition.
